Hi there.
My name is Angela J. Howard (known to most as Angie), and I am genuinely grateful to get to know each and every client who comes my way.
My Therapeutic Approach
I take a client-centered, flexible approach to therapy, integrating traditional cognitive-behavioral techniques with neuropsychotherapy. This means I consider how your experiences both shape and are shaped by your brain development and function. Rather than simply addressing symptoms, I prioritize understanding the root causes of your challenges, allowing us to develop a more targeted and effective path toward healing and well-being.
I believe it's important to look beyond a diagnosis. While the labels we use can be helpful descriptions of behavior, they don't define you. My goal as a psychotherapist is to help you get to the root issues that are leading to your struggles. I help individuals and couples identify the true source of their concerns, be it trauma, pain, or unhelpful patterns, and develop new systems of behavior and coping.
