An Integrated Approach to Healing
No two people come to therapy with the same story. Your history, values, personality, and current circumstances all shape how you experience life—and how you heal. That’s why my work is flexible and collaborative, blending methods to meet your unique needs rather than fitting you into a rigid treatment model.
I specialize in attachment-based, trauma-informed therapy, but I also draw from a variety of evidence-based methods:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – Identifying and shifting unhelpful thought patterns
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – Building psychological flexibility and values-based living
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – Strengthening skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) – Addressing deep emotional needs and attachment patterns
This integrative approach allows us to target both:
- Top-down processes – Thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that contribute to distress
- Bottom-up processes – Emotional, relational, and nervous system responses rooted in past experiences or trauma
Matching the Approach to the Need
Some challenges, like panic attacks, phobias, or obsessive-compulsive symptoms, benefit from structured, skills-based interventions that provide rapid symptom relief. Others, such as relational wounds, grief, or identity struggles, require slower, deeper, emotion-focused work to create real change.
We’ll work together to identify what’s most helpful for you in the moment while keeping an eye on your long-term goals. Often, therapy will move fluidly between skill-building and deeper emotional exploration.
A Space for Growth and Self-Compassion
Above all, I am committed to creating a safe, supportive space that allows you to explore and to heal. While your goals for our work together are your own, individual therapy can help to achieve the following:
- Understand the patterns that shape your feelings and choices
- Develop new ways of responding to stress, conflict, and uncertainty
- Build self-awareness and self-compassion
- Move toward a life that feels more balanced, authentic, and connected
Whether you’re navigating a life transition, managing anxiety or depression, or processing past experiences, therapy can help you feel more grounded and empowered in your daily life.
